Launch event - Sounds good to me!

What topics are you an expert in? - I agree with your comment on this. The more change there is and the more forms of technology are added to our field the more difficult it is to be an expert in anything.

What topics are you an expert in? - Hi Emma, I'd still like to see what you're interested in.. or have some knowledge of, however brief. Your comment makes me think you think outside of the box.

What topics are you an expert in? - I think it depends on the context and peoples perception of the person describing themselves as an expert. I have a background in design and can draw, paint and animate, take photographs (see my flikr) and I have a lot of experience using audio, video and a range of different technology. I can also program. In this context I see myself as an expert in those areas as I have experience and offer advice in these areas as part of my job. If I can help anyone with these topics I will do this. This is not to say that I know everything and I would not consider that I am 'showing off'. However, I am also still learning. I see continuous learning as part of life and in coming to conference I think I'm adding to this. I enjoying learning. Do these topics make me a 'technical expert'? Does this list then lead people to think I have no experience or knowledge of learning theories, research, academic practice...I think at whatever level everybody has something to contribute and that we are all learning. There are different levels of expert.
