User-friendly Content Creation: Xerte Online Toolkits

The workshop offers an opportunity for a comprehensive overview of the successful open-source software Xerte Online Toolkits, developed by the University of Nottingham, and gaining use all over the world.
Topics to be covered and expected outcomes
Participants will leave the workshop with a good understanding of how to use Xerte Online Toolkits to create rich, accessible content, and publish that content online. Participants will take away an understanding of the different ways that they can use the software to create content and how to go about an institutional installation.
Presenters Julian Tenney and Pat Lockley – University of Nottingham
Julian Tenney is the lead developer of the Xerte Project, with extensive experience in developing tools to facilitate the production of high quality learning materials by teaching staff. Pat Lockley is the web developer responsible for the development of the web-based version of Xerte Online Toolkits.
