About: Based in the Research Office I work at supporting the process and people behind our research staff development activities, using e-learning tools and techniques. It's a new post, so there's a bit of effort involved in working out what's needed and by whom, via what technology and using which skills.

Having spent the last 7 years running the OMR service at Loughborough, this new post makes me feel like a kid in a candy factory, so focusing down on a few things that have researchers at their heart would be a good idea.

Here to build up my network and be inspired.

Forgot to mention I'm only attending Weds and Thurs as I'm at the Vitae conference on Monday and Tuesday. London buses come to mind...

Otherwise, give me a bike and some hilly singletrack and I'm happy.

Martin Ashby - Is anyone looking at researchers' requirements of learning technologies/web 2.0, rather than undergrad or postgrad students? I'm wanting to work out what research staff needs/wants might be wrt CPD and transferable skills development. Thanks. Martin
