A message from the Co-Chairs of ALT-C 2012

Posted Friday, 7 September 2012, 10:24

On behalf of the other co-chairs, Julie and Jonathan, I am writing to say how much we are all looking forward to welcoming you to ALT-C 2012.

If this is your first ALT-C, you'll find that it's a big but friendly conference, and networking with others will be a key part of your experience. There will be plenty of interesting people to meet, learn from and be inspired by.

To get the most out of ALT-C, be sure to introduce yourself to others; keep up-to-date with activities during the conference by following the Twitter hashtag, #altc2012 and via the Crowdvine site, which is accessible via the web and on mobile devices. If you have any questions or issues during the conference, the ALT team and co-chairs will be more than happy to assist - come and find us at the ALT stand in the Exhibition.

The programme may look somewhat daunting - especially if this is your first ALT-C due to the large number of parallel sessions, so we recommend that you to take a little time to review the schedule and abstracts before you arrive and select the sessions you would like to attend. The Crowdvine site has a useful mechanism for putting together a personal timetable.

We welcome your thoughts and feedback during the conference, so please come and say hello and let us know how things are going.

We hope you enjoy the conference and look forward to meeting you.
Sarah, Julie & Jonathan

If this is the first time you are attending ALT-C, please come along to our session for first time delegates on Tuesday morning after the opening keynote.
