About: Work in the Institute of Educational Technology at the OU (my dream job in my favourite organisation). I've been OU student (several times) and OU tutor and also have managed new media production at the OU, but I am now settled nicely into being an academic. Things that might interest you? I set up and co-facilitate the OU's eLearning Community (c. 500 strong community of practice). I co-edit Routledge's book series 'Connecting with e-Learning' with Prof Allison Littlejohn (Glasgow Caledonian) and co-authored two books in the series. I am a National Teaching Fellow and hope to bump into several others fellows at ALT.

Finally completed my PhD so you could call me Dr and see that look of confusion :-). Co-chairing OER13 with Jackie Carter. This is related to the OE ALT SIG so working with some of the ALT team on this and will be trying to get a couple of meetings in with committee members within an already very busy conference.

PS. I may be wearing a silly hat. If so come up and talk to me about the session this is publicising (Open Landscapes - session 288 on Wednesday). Come along.

An Open Landscape: Towards an open philosophy: An Open Landscape: Towards an open philosophy -- 288 -- Hybrid - A couple of introductory slides to give you an idea why you might want to come along to this. Should be quite an interesting one and we hope pretty lively given that its the end of the day. Something unsual, wide-ranging and with plenty of opportunity for the audience to have their say.
