About: I am currently Director of Quality and Student Experience in the School of Computing, Engineering and Information Sciences at Northumbria University.

I was originally appointed as a Lecturer in Research Methods in 2000, since then I have been fortunate enough to be a Programme Leader on both campus and DL programmes, a Head of Subject for Information and Communication Management and most recently I have developed a Professional Doctorate Programme in Information Science.

My teaching interests include research methods, user behaviour, reflective practice, approaches to learning and learner support and user needs analysis.

My research interests are; research methods in information science, information and digital literacy and learning and teaching. Most recently we have developed a model of ‘iTrust’ which began as part of a JISC funded research study exploring trust in online information resources on the web.
