About: Started out on this education and technology journey at the DfES in the late 1990s. Initially with responsibilities for the National Learning Network and then moved to the e-Learning Strategy Unit contributing to the first national e-Learning Strategy "Harnessing Technology". Took a secondment at the sharp(er) end as Strategic e-Learning Manager for Sheffield City Council with responsibilities across all schools and ACL. Worked on Sheffield's role as a Building Schools for The Future pathfinder - including the technology procurement process. After 3-4 years at Sheffield CC I joined the good folk at Sero to work on education-technology-creativity, and also Becta's "CAPITAL: Harnessing Technology" research programme. Now working mainly on policy aspects of EC research projects - current/recent research areas: virtual schooling, OER, Shared Services.
